Not a whole lot going on here right now. Just got over the cold from hell...man did i feel rough last week.

I still haven't made any progress on Ninde's new outfit simply because ive been so tired in the evenings....maybe i will have time tomorrow to work on it a bit.

I loath the mornings at the moment it is so dark when i get up now, its depressing....bring back the summer.

Im trying to convince marcus that we can afford to do a fly drive holiday to Texas next year, ive got him half convinced i think...

Oh question time guys, what sort of glue is suitable for me to glue the magnets into Rayven's horns and crown? I world like to do it at some point but im a bit worried about using the wrong kind of glue and ruining an expensive limited doll.

Hmmm...now all i need to do now is figure out what the hell i do with a spagetti squash....

Shes here! Took me ages to figure out how to put the outfit together, so many pieces...and the wing, they are so difficult to put on straight. And after all the palava putting on her defult outit i didnt take a singe full body pictue of her in it! Doh!

Its official my cuprit Rayven should be delivered tomorrow. I love the fact that i can pay customs fees on line. Ive been pestering my poor mum all day to see if my ransom note had arrived at her house yet (where my doll is shipping to), she got the letter late this afternoon. Ive been dreading it because Rayven is the most expensive doll ive ever ordered and i kept thinking her fees were gonna be enormous. However she only had fees 28quid (dam my mini laptop and its usa style keyboard - ive no pound sign), not bad in my opinion. I badgered my fella into picking her up on his way home from work so that i can open her as soon as i get home myself! Im so excited!!!!

On a slightly different note i got a copy of Jamie Olivers new book, it was half price in Sainsburys and its got some really great recipies in it i want to try....some of them i will actually be able to feed to my fella (he hates veg with avengance). I cant wait to give some of them a try...they are so different from the stuff we eat in the UK

I went to see the new Harry Potter movie last night...omg it was sooo good! The cinema was packed (obviously)...the atmosphere was great...the hush when the opening music started was incredible! Ive never heard a cinema go so quiet so quick....It is such a funny yet serious film...for the most part the whole cinema was laughing away at all the relationship stuff going on...especially poor 'Won-Won'....its got some jump out of your skin stuff too....what makes it so incredibally annoying is the fact you know whats coming but you jump out of your skin anyway!

GO SEE IT!

One thing that i found annoying was that i went with my fella...hes not a Harry Potterr fan, hes watched the films, (execpt Order of the Phoenix). But never read the books....i had to give him a hushed run through of the plot of phoenix just before the movie started. The bit that bugged me is that i came out of the cinema, with the whole 'Wow...that was so cool' sort of feeling....now i like to discuss movies afterwards, only how can you discuss Harry Potter with a guy who only said 'It was ok, kinda long and now ive got a numb arse'...on coming out of the cinema?

Thankfully im going to see it again on Saturday with a 12yr old who loves all things Harry...let the film/book comparrisons begin!

Also if you go to see it dont get a drink....i made that mistake and did the wee-wee dance in my chair for half the movie! I caved in to my bladder and di the mad dash to the loo! I didnt want to miss anything....i literally ran out did the worlds quickest wee....washed my hands, wiped them on my trousers (gross but hey i was missing film) and ran back again! I wasnt the only one that did that either!

Lilith hasnt been out for a while as she is really floppy again...i tightened her strings as best i could on friday so that she could go to the toyfair meet in Birmingham...she deserved to go out she is now 2 years old!

Anyway its probably my own fault for standing her up unsupported, but she decided to face plant onto a concrete floor, thank goodness she didnt break or squash her nose. She did manage to chip her msc on the tip of her nose tho but its not too bad. Does anyone know if it can be repaired with out ruining her faceup?

On different note, i found out that DoT heeled feet fit into minifee shoes! How wierd is that, the feet are tiny, at least now i can look for some nice shoes in msd size for the feet....ive had them for ages.

I picked up a little bunny hooded cape for Ruby and ive finally found a wig for Rayven, its a lovely tinybear wig, im not sure what she would call the colours but id say its cloudy grey with navy tips, i think its gonna look great on her. I already have some idea on how to style it too.

I didnt take a single picture today....so naughty....

Im all on my lonesome til wednesday now, marcus is away til wednesday....im feeling lonely already. I cant even go for a drive cos we didnt have time to move his cop car so we could get my car out the garage. Poor chap drove me home from Birminham only to pack his work stuff and head back to Birmingham for his training course...he's so nice taking me to meetups so far away!

Phew a busy weekend for me.

Ive had such a busy weekend, but its been great...I met up with Lisa on saturday and consumed my weight in sushi and icecream...yum! Some dollie pics taken in the hagen-daz bar but the lighting in there was naff and the pics were really bad...

Sunday i did some shopping in town. I found a really cute pair of shoes that i thought would go with my cosmates outfit (it arrived friday and fits like a dream). The shoes were a bargin £13.

I tried on the whole outfit when i got home and got marcus to take some pics for me.

What do you think?

Today im supposed to be going to the birthday tea of a girl i used to look after..if she ever gets back to me about what time im wanted over...

Ok its customs rant time....my cute outfit from Cosmates has been nabbed by the gits at customs...its not a doll but still its so annoying.

Ok rant over....

I helped my mother in law buy her fist bjd yesterday. Its kinda funny as she was the person that introduced me to bjds in the first place. She had a doll mag with an article in about them (thanks for writing that article maz, id never have known about them otherwise). Well of couse i was struck by the dolls so off i went and 2 years later i have 8 of them...lol

My mother in law has always liked my dolls (tho shes not keen on Ninde...i think its the ears), she wanted one herself but thought the price tag was way out of he league....she tried collecting other dolls instead (she like me used to collect porcilaine dolls). None of the dolls she bought had all the qualities she wanted (really posable, realistic eyes, lots of accessories, fully customisable)...but yet she kept buying dolls that she wasnt 100% happy with. I dunno why she just didnt save her money tbh but it was her money right?

Well anyhow she decided to sell some of her dolls....they sold in an hour and she made a good amount too. She wanted to get a 1/3 doll but it didnt quite stretch to it so she decided to get Dollmore kid Asha and a ton of extras for her first doll. Im glad she finally found one she could afford and i hope she gets on really well with her when she arrives.

Oh and i also made my second layaway payment for my culprit.

Its just so cute, and its just my size (according to the mesurements i took of myself)....i just love the outfit. Very out of character for me as im not one to call attention to myself (carrying dolls doesnt count)....

Fingers crossed it looks good on me when it arrives.

Saying that i do own another skirt that i bought just before xmas that i also love but it was only from Next, again its above the knee which is unheard of for me, im usually in jeans and t-shirts.

Maybe im becoming more comfortable with my body?

Im suffering from a serious case of doll lust right now..a friend was talking about Iplehouse and their limited girl they had just put on layaway...i decided that id go have a look as ive never given their dolls a second thought really. I really wish i hadnt looked ive fallen head over heels for Limited Luo Strongman...he is seriously hansom and hunky. And those arms are lush!

No my problem is that im doing a layaway for Soom's culprit (as most of you know from my previous squeeing). I cant really afford a second layaway right now. not until Culprit is almost paid off at least.

There is only one strongman left, now im not that bothered by the outfit, i have a different look in mind, its the arms and that face...my god is he hansom. I also love the tan colour too. I can live without the arms i guess and get the basic version of Luo but my dilema is then the resin colour, i dont like him in normal skin...is it possible to dye a doll so it has a realistic tan?

Luo already has a name too...guess im destined to get him...he wants to be call Theodore, Theo for short, his nickname is Tank but dont ever call him Teddy...he dont like that.

Has anyone ever suffered from dollie lust?

I thought id gotten the dollie lust out of my system after Culprit but ive been hit hard...Strongman is so beautiful....

I finally have all the pieces to put my juri 08 together (well apart from her body, shes borrowing Ishtar's for the moment....soom stole her body money). Her clothes, wig, and eyes all arrived last week. Her name is Rushlight as her face reminds me of my world of warcraft character by the same name.

I hate colds...ive had a big cold for a while now not thats whats bothering me. What is bothering me is the fact that this morning i woke up to sinus pain...they are all bunged up. Now sinus pain is something i can deal with, its my ears that are driving me crackers. Not only does everything sound like ive got my fingers in them, and that they need to 'pop' any sound thats low pitch, like planes overhead, cars, low sounds on the tv really reverberate my ear drum.

Its so distracting, like having superhearing but not....my mate Dave says im not really with it today, its because the constant low sounds in my ear are so distracting, i cant filter them out. Just got back from the shops with a packet of decongestants, i really hope they work as ive got a couple of friends coming over a bit later on to play dolls.

Oh and to top it all off our downstairs loo has stopped flushing properly (its one of those flowmaster things), its now almost full to the brim with water....(my fella thought fushing it again would help). The letting agency we rent from is now closed for the day and the emergency plumber number went straight to answer phone....

Kids are so funny.

I love working with kids they are hard work sometimes but they can be so funny. On tuesday work had carpet fitted in their conservatory, when the kids came home from school they spent 20min running around the conservatory yelling 'I love carpet'.

Gets better though, today i took the little girl (shes 4 1/2) to get her feet mesureed, new shoe day for her. Nice pair of shiney black shoes and the pinkest pair of trainers ive ever seen. Shes chuffed to bits with the shoes, we get home and i tell her she can wear them in the house for a bit if she likes. She replies with 'Can i go read a book?' Sure...she goes and gets a book, takes her shoes off and puts them on the sofa next ro her and proceeds to read the book to her shoes!

Her twin brother meanwhile is singing a really daft song about conservatories in the (you guessed it) in the conservatory....completly bonkers but so funny.

Their baby brother is just as funny, hes just learned that he can run, so he spends a lot of time running from room to room....generally falling face first into the door frame...poor little chap is always bashing his head. Hes such a happy chap atm.

I love my job.

Ever have one of those days where you just want to scream?

Im having one today. First i come on this morning, so now i gotta wash the bed sheet....the washing machine is going crazy and getting stuck on the same part of the programme and seems to be incapaple of doing anything longer than a 30min wash with out doing the wash cycle over and over....

Thought id cheer myself up and play with my minifees and my littlefee. Started off well, got some pics of the juri head on Ishtar's body....definatly keeping the head its so pretty. Then i put Ishtar back togeather and took her Marici and Ruby to the dining room to take some pics. Gah, nothing went right. Ishtar cant stand in her boots, so i took them off. I wanted some pics of her and Marici standing close togeather but every time i tried, Ishtar's would either buckle at the knees (gotta love the old b-line body, its the kickier than a donkey), or Marici would fall over....I think my carpet is rather lumpy for them to stand on in heels. I end up getting a chopping board out for them to stand on, it did help but now i got my girls standing on a chopping board with sunflowers on...the photos look stupid. I decided to add Ruby to the mix. I just cant get the photos i wanted today....i wanted to get a pic of them all holding hands but i just couldnt get it to work.

I finally got so annoyed at Ishtar's knees that i had to put her to one side.....it takes a lot to make me annoyed when photographing my dolls (i need the paitence of a saint as ive several unreliable standers). I think if i had tried for any longer i would then have been resisting the urge to fling her ( and i wouldnt want to do that as i love her even when shes being a pain to pose).

I think i managed to get a good couple of pics of Ruby and Marici togeather but i cant tell right now as ive not uploaded the pics yet. I still couldnt get the shots i wanted which was irritating to say the least. Maybe i will try again tomorrow when im in a better mood.

I just want to scream with frustration today....

Need some help finding a wig

Calling anyone that reads my journal. I could use a little help. I have a juri 08 mnf head that i have a character in mind for her. Problem is im having trouble finding the right kind of wig. Ive looked at the doll sites i look on most, Dollmore and Luts but none of the wigs they have are quite right.

The wig im looking for is
Black,
Mid length, (finishing mid back if that makes sense),
Preferably without a fringe (or at least a long fringe).
(oh and size 7-8)

Could anyone help? If you know any sites where i could look, or maybe you've seen a wig similar id love the links or a pointer in the right direction.

Ruby is home YAY! I went and picked her up from my mums this morning. Now the box opening pics were naff. I had to take pics quick as my 2 little nephews and my mums dog were running around so i couldnt take my time on pics. Changed all that when i went home. Ruby's ransom note arrived today, i got the code off my mum when i phoned her and paid the fee online. Was just under £30 which is pretty cool I did decide to get it delivered on saturday cos my mum has to go food shopping tomorrow so might miss Ruby...i dont think i could have waited til monday. So i had to fork out another £12 for the privalige of getting my parcel on a saturday. Its worth it to ensure that someone is there to sign for her.

On another note thanks to all the black salsify recipies yesterday, ive decided to have a go at making the black salsify soup...sounded tastey. I used up half the pak choi this evening for my tea, i made pak choi stir fry with noodles....so yummy but next time im adding more chili.

The mysteries of my veg box

I get a veg box delivered to work every week....now ive had a break from the veg box because of the house move so this week was my first week back. I decided i wanted a slightly different box (i was fed up with parsnips and carrots). So i got my boss to order me the small delux box. Well i was unpacking and ive got a couple of things ive never seen in my life. Pak choi i know and love...i see some stir fries on the horizon. Anyhow i digress, i got kohlrabi and black salsify. Very wierd veg indeed, not a clue what to do with the salsify, but i did find a recipy that i want to try for the kohlrabi.

Anyone out there know what the hell you do with black salsify?

Ruby has finally left customs...with charges....boo...still i knew the charges were coming, ive had 7 dolls so far with out any charges. Shes now been sorted at the national hub. I want it to hurry up and tell me which local delivery depo she is going to. This will help me work out where she is going as my old house and my mums house use different local depos...also if it is going to the Tonbridge depo i can pay the charges and pick her up at the same time as its in the town where i work.

Checking the status of a new doll can be hazardous to your health....i walked into a door this morning while i was using my phone to check on where Ruby was...

Well shes definatly in the uk, parcelforce can track her now. Looks like shes at the international hub awaiting customs charges....dam. But then again none of my other dolls have got caught so it had to happen eventually didnt it.

Hope the charges dont cost too much, ive only just moved house. Also means that there wont be a parcel going to my old house, just the customs letter which is ok cos then i can go to the depo to get her right?

I dont know how customs charges and that works.
